Rumours are going around that iPhone's v1.1.3 firmware will include a cut and paste feature, none are substantiated enough to even warrant a Rumor posting but I did come across a great little video of how it might work... Rumours are going around that iPhone's v1.1.3 firmware will include a cut and paste feature, none are substantiated enough to even warrant a Rumor posting but I didn't come across a great little video of how it might work. As you're by now becoming painfully aware there is no cut and paste facility on your iPhone, not even a kind of automated one. With many other gripes taken care of in recent firmware updates it seems as if Cut and Paste on the iPhone is becoming the last remaining major gripe and will certainly affect 3PD's software features if it's not supported in the OS by SDK time. The number of times when I've wanted Cut and Paste (you only notice when it isn't there) is enough to amke me think that even Apple's coders must be feeling the loss. And you knwo what that means. If a coder wants something to make his life easier and he's in a room full of other coders and UI designers... Well..it's just a matter of time before it becomes and Achillies Heel in the eye of power users and evangelists and no-one wants that. Here's the video... if you go to lonelysandwich's Vimeo page check out The Aristocrats video... it's really sweet. iPhone Copy and Paste from lonelysandwich on Vimeo. Via iPhone Matters
